People & Ops Manager
The Role
We’re looking for a People & Business Operations Manager to keep the organisation running smoothly and help us scale intelligently.
You’ll own core operations across People, Finance, and Company processes, continuously improving how the business operates.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety — one day you might be running payroll updates, the next refining the OKR cadence or organising a company offsite.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and senior leadership team and will be trusted to take ownership and make things happen.
What You’ll Do
People & HR Operations
Manage onboarding and offboarding, contracts, and HR system workflows.
Handle payroll updates, sickness absence, and holiday tracking.
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and wellbeing.
Implement, maintain, and live company values, helping to shape a high-performance culture where people enjoy working.
Finance & Administration
(in coordination with Group service functions)
Manage accounting tasks, including expenses, reporting, and VAT exports.
Handle client invoicing and payment follow-ups.
Coordinate with group accounting teams and maintain monthly financial overviews.
Company Rhythm & Data
Help shape company OKRs with leadership.
Improve planning cadence, templates, communication, and follow-up.
Support town hall structure, themes, and messaging.
Assist with quarterly planning and leadership alignment.
Contribute to cross-company prioritisation and strategic clarity.
Maintain OKR and KPI tracking systems.
Prepare company-wide updates and leadership packs.
Support data collection and light analytics.
Culture & Engagement
Lead company events, offsites, and team days.
Manage gifts, internal announcements, and milestone moments.
Support internal communications and company culture.
Operations & Compliance
Keep company policies up to date.
Manage laptop and equipment inventory.
Support light legal and contract administration.
Executive Support
Prepare slides for town halls and CEO updates.
Support ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
Who You Are
4–7 years’ experience in a similar Ops, People, or Business Operations role (startup or scale-up experience strongly preferred).
UK-based, remote-ready, with excellent self-management skills.
Comfortable switching between detailed execution and big-picture thinking.
A confident communicator with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Tech-savvy and systems-oriented, with a passion for improving how things run.
Why Join
Join a purpose-driven team working on meaningful, high-impact challenges.
Work directly with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
Flexible, remote-first culture with regular London meet-ups.
Clear progression opportunities into senior Business Operations or Chief of Staff roles.
